Unlocking Intra-African Trade: Leveraging the AfCFTA for Business Growth and Market Expansion

The webinar is intended to update members of the South African Footwear & Leather Export Council (SAFLEC) on recent developments under the AfCFTA Agreement, as well as Afreximbank’s interventions and support towards its implementation. Invitations have also been extended to representatives across the African trade ecosystem, including Trade Promotion Organizations (TPOs), Trade Support Institutions (TSIs), Chambers of Commerce, business associations and other relevant private-sector stakeholders.

The session will explore how AfCFTA is progressively shaping a single African market. Particular attention will be given to what these developments mean in practice for businesses looking to enter new African markets, diversify export destinations and scale intra-African trade. The webinar will also highlight the role of Afreximbank in supporting AfCFTA implementation. This will include an overview of key initiatives and instruments such as the PAPSS, the AfCFTA Adjustment Fund, trade and export finance, the Africa Trade Gateway, trade facilitation solutions and strategic advisory services.
