We are launching an IT Security Awareness eLearning course designed to equip all Afreximbank staff with crucial knowledge to protect both personal and organizational data. This course will cover a range of critical security topics, including:
- Phishing vs Spam: While spam is often annoying but harmless, phishing is malicious and aims to trick users into revealing sensitive information or installing harmful software. Learn how to identify and handle each appropriately.
- Core Concepts of Phishing: Explore the foundational elements of phishing attacks. This module will help you recognize common red flags and understand why phishing remains one of the top cybersecurity threats globally.
- Core Concepts: Business Email Compromise (BEC): Delve into Business Email Compromise, a highly targeted form of phishing where attackers impersonate executives or trusted contacts to manipulate employees into transferring funds or sensitive data. Learn how to verify requests and protect against these sophisticated scams.
- Using AI Safely: Best Practices for Leveraging AI Technologies
- This module covers how to avoid sharing sensitive information with AI platforms, spot manipulated content like deepfakes, and use AI responsibly to enhance productivity without compromising security
Completing this course is mandatory for all employees who were phished during the phishing simulation, to strengthen our collective resilience against cybersecurity threats and ensure a secure working environment.
